“I’m having a great time at the U of C. I have a good group of friends, a happy family life, and I’m getting good grades. But for some strange reason, I’ve been having terrible nightmares lately. Sometimes they’re anxiety dreams, but often, I can’t figure them out. Over the past two weeks, they’ve gotten so bad that they’ve been waking me up in the middle of the night, and I can’t get back to sleep. I’m worried that my sleep problems are going to start affecting my schoolwork. Can someone at SCRS help me figure out why I’m having these nightmares, and what I can do to make them go away?”
WHAT SCRS CAN DO:
- Help you figure out if there are environmental, medical or psychological factors contributing to your sleep problems
- Provide you with a space in which to talk about your nightmares and what significance, if any, they might have for you
