Weekly Mental Health Q&A

February 13, 2006

“I have a huge crush on my professor. Even though I know this isn’t totally out of the ordinary, I feel as though my crush is preventing me from dating while at college. I never notice guys in my class, because I’m too busy thinking about my professor. And although I don’t have any real hopes of ever being with him, I’m worried that my crush is keeping me from having a normal, healthy dating life. Can someone at SCRS help me figure out why I feel the way I do, and what I can do to keep those feelings from dominating my dating life?”

WHAT SCRS CAN DO:

  • Help you figure out the role that this crush is playing in your life
  • Help you to examine whether there are other factors in your life that are preventing you from pursuing a more typical dating life
