"At the start of winter quarter, I got the flu. It took me a full week to recover, and by then I was already behind on my work. I had to pull an all-nighter to catch up, and then I got sick again. Now I can’t seem to break this cycle of getting sick, falling behind, trying to compensate, and then getting sick again. At this point, I don’t feel like I’ll ever catch up with my work. Is there any way that SCRS can help me get through this quarter, and help me avoid this pattern in the future?"
WHAT SCRS CAN DO:
- help you assess whether certain aspects of your life may be contributing to your struggles with staying healthy
- help you to change certain behaviors, or patterns in your lifestyle that may be contributing to this cycle of getting sick, and falling behind
- help you determine whether you need help with study skills, and
- refer you to ASAP (Academic Skills Assessment Program) at SCRS, if necessary
- help rule out other environmental, medical and psychological causes for your struggles with staying healthy, and make appropriate referrals if necessary
