"My father died over winter break, and I spent all of January at home taking care of my mother and my younger siblings. After a month, my mother decided that I should go back to school. Now that I’m back, I worry about my family a lot, and I feel guilty that I’m not with them. I’m having a very difficult time focusing on my work, and I’m not sure coming back to school was the best decision. Can someone at SCRS help me sort through the pain and guilt that I’m feeling?"
WHAT SCRS CAN DO:
- provide a safe place in which to deal with your grief and terrible loss
- help you think about whether coming back to school at this time has been the right course of action for you
- help you think about what to do next
