Weekly Mental Health Q&A

"I just went back to graduate school, and I’m having trouble balancing my life at home with my life at school. I don’t have the same amount of time to spend with my kids now, and I know my husband gets jealous when I spend time studying with other students, or attending evening classes. At the same time, I’m really enjoying school, and I want to find a way to make this work in my life. Could I talk with someone at SCRS?"

WHAT SCRS CAN DO:

  • help you work out a realistic schedule that addresses all of your responsibilities and concerns
  • help you and your spouse in sessions together to deal with these changes in your relationship and to find ways to build in quality time together

DISCLAIMER: None of the vignettes are based on actual University of Chicago students or specific incidents. The vignettes suggest possible scenarios but do not represent any particular University students. The SCRS maintains a strict confidentiality policy that is outlined our Policies section.
