Weekly Mental Health Q&A

December 5, 2005

When I broke up with my boyfriend last year, he stalked me for a while. He would randomly “turn up” wherever I was, and ask my friends about my social plans. Sometimes, he’d drive around the block again and again outside my apartment, or call my phone and hang up. During summer, I didn’t hear from him at all, and I assumed things were better. But now that school has started again, he’s become even worse than before. Can someone at SCRS help me deal with this situation?

WHAT SCRS CAN DO:

  • Help you to determine what means are at your disposal to discourage him from this behavior
  • Give you a space in which to talk about your security concerns
  • Refer you to campus resources if necessary
