Weekly Mental Health Q&A

Monday, May 12

“Whenever I get stressed, I like to exercise. The more stressed I am, the longer I work out, and the harder I push myself. Lately, I’ve been working out so much, it’s been seriously cutting into my time to do other things, including studying. I know that I need to organize my time better, but whenever I start to think about it, I just get even more stressed out and want to exercise more. Can you be addicted to exercise? I feel like I’m losing control of my life, but I can’t force myself to stop.”

HOW CAN SCRS HELP?:

  • Assess the triggers associated with your tendency to over-exercise and help you find alternatives ways to cope with stress
  • Help you work on time management skills
