Weekly Mental Health Q&A

Monday, April 21

“My girlfriend recently broke up with me because she wants to see other boys. Yet, she keeps calling me and coming by my room to “talk,” which usually turns into more than just talking. When I ask if she wants to get back together, she says no, and now I feel like I’m being used. I’m not happy, but at the same time I enjoy being with her. I don’t know what I should do to get out of it, or if I even should get out of it—I wish I could have her back for good, but she won’t listen to me and things just keep getting worse.”

HOW CAN SCRS HELP?:

  • Offer emotional support
  • Help you identify what you want and need to do with respect to your girlfriend so that your own needs can be met in a healthy way
