Relationships Group
for Graduate Students
SCRS offers a Relationships Group for graduate students. This group is designed for students who would like to improve their relationships with friends, family members, or significant others. It is not necessary to be in a romantic relationship or to have a significant other to participate in the Relationships Group.
This group meets for 75 minutes weekly over 1–2 academic quarters. Typically groups are co-ed but in some quarters SCRS offers gender specific groups. There are 4–8 members per group and are co-led by 1 or 2 SCRS clinicians. One unique element of the Relationships Group is the focus on the “here-and-now” of what happens in the group; this facet of the group allows members to gain insight into how others view them, how their behavior affects other people, and to give and receive support.
