Medication Management
There are psychiatrists on staff at SCRS as well as therapists. If, as a result of a student's intake appointment or SCRS therapy appointment, it is decided that the student will see an SCRS psychiatrist, the intake counselor or the student's therapist will help the student schedule an appointment with a psychiatrist. The psychiatrist will discuss medication and therapy options with the student.
If the student is prescribed medication, the psychiatrist will monitor their case on a short-term basis. In some cases, if it makes sense, we are able to offer longer-term medication management throughout the student's University career.
