Sexual Assault Survivors Support Group
SCS offers a support group for students who are survivors of sexual violence. This 10 week group, facilitated by SCS staff, provides a safe and confidential setting for individuals to explore the impact that sexual assault has had on their lives. Group members find support through the process of sharing with others who have experienced similar traumas. Since rape is a trauma often coated with shame and secrecy, a support group can offer a powerful experience for growth.
The Sexual Assault Survivor Support Group is offered once per academic year, usually in winter quarter, and meets weekly for 90 minute sessions. For further information, please contact Dana Regett LCSW dregett@uchicago.edu
