Relationships Group for Graduate Students

Relationships Group for Graduate Students

SCS is currently offering three Relationships Groups for graduate students. These groups are designed for students who would like to improve their relationships with friends, family members, or significant others. It is not necessary to be in a romantic relationship or to have a significant other to participate in the Relationships Group.

These groups meets for 90 minutes weekly over 2–3 academic quarters. There are 5–8 members per group and are co-led by 2 SCS clinicians. One unique element of the Relationship Groups is the focus on the “here-and-now” of what happens in the group; this facet of the group allows members to gain insight into how others view them, how their behavior affects other people, and to give and receive support.

If you have further questions about the Relationship Groups or would like to schedule a pre-group interview, please contact Josh Singh, PhD jsingh1@uchicago.edu.

These groups are currently taking new members. Groups will take place on Monday,Tuesday, and Wednesday afternoons somewhere between 3-5.
