For College Students:

Mindfulness and Academic Success for the Spring Quarter
This workshop is for undergraduate and graduate students who would like to learn more about using mindfulness for self-care to improve academic success in the winter quarter. The workshop will provide a basic introduction to mindfulness concepts and research, and will include a guided mindfulness practice. Strategies for applying mindfulness techniques to cope with academic demands will be provided and discussed. There will be opportunity for participants to ask questions and discuss specific concerns related to applying mindfulness in their daily lives.

Get Set for Finals (Undergraduate Students)
This workshop will help undergraduate students develop a plan of study for final exams. Students will be led through exercises in which they will analyze the tasks that need to be completed prior to and during finals week, and then strategize about how to approach these tasks. The workshop will also present information on good test-taking skills and ways to manage academic anxiety with mindfulness meditation.

Overcoming Writers Block for Graduate Students

This workshop is for graduate students who are struggling with writing because they feel blocked. It will focus on the ways in which anxiety about writing and other worries can make it difficult to concentrate, effectively generate ideas and put words on the page. Strategies will be offered that can facilitate more productive work. There will be opportunity for participants to ask questions and discuss specific concerns so that individual needs can be addressed as well as general principals.
