In this workshop, we will discuss a number of strategies that can help you manage your anxiety, be more productive, and feel happier.

Mindfulness and Academic Success for the Winter Quarter
This workshop is for undergraduate and graduate students who would like to learn more about using mindfulness for self-care to improve academic success in the winter quarter. The workshop will provide a basic introduction to mindfulness concepts and research, and will include a guided mindfulness practice. Strategies for applying mindfulness techniques to cope with academic demands will be provided and discussed. There will be opportunity for participants to ask questions and discuss specific concerns related to applying mindfulness in their daily lives.

Overcoming Writers Block for Graduate Students
This workshop is for graduate students who are struggling with writing because they feel blocked. It will focus on the ways in which anxiety about writing and other worries can make it difficult to concentrate, effectively generate ideas and put words on the page. Strategies will be offered that can facilitate more productive work. There will be opportunity for participants to ask questions and discuss specific concerns so that individual needs can be addressed as well as general principals.
